The Weekend

Saturday passed without much of interest. Writing this on the Sunday, the problem I have is remembering what happened yesterday so I am surmising there was nothing of interest. My Saturday meal is becoming a habit of my buying Chicken Biriani and accompanying currey from the local market stall run by Pakistanis. They are in fact very nice people and are always busy with long queues. They cook kebabs onsite over charcoal and only cook to order so the food is always fresh
An elderly gentleman does the Biriani and curry cooking. He is an excellent chef. The curry to go with the Biriani is either chickpea, dhal or my favourite which is Paneer. Paneer is an Asian cheese. The chef cuts it into cubes, fries it and then adds various curry sauces. Yesterday it was with spinach, so Paneer Saag. It went down very well as usual.
Sunday, today was another fine and sunny day. I set out about 11am and had breakfast outside Costas. A Latte and a chocolate twist. I sat there for an hour or so and then jumped on a bus to Marble Arch and sat outside another cafe for an hour drinking a cappuccino.
Waitrose have sold out of my mini cigars of the moment, a Dutch brand by Wilde. They sell there for £3.49 for ten. I had to go to Selfridges for them where they charge £9.25 for 20s. What a rip-off!.
Anyway walked back home down Edgware Road, stopping for a cold drink outside Testa Rossa at Marble Arch, then on to Waitrose for some food for tonight and then stopping once more to have another Frescato outside Costas. A nice leisurely day.
My new netbook came loaded with WinXP so decided to put Vista on it. A bit of aggro at first as WinXP was loathe to let go and my netbook also tried hang on to it. Eventually got Vista working but now have to download lots of stuff, including 77, yes SEVENTY SEVEN updates from Microshaft. Why can't they get their various secretive operating systems to work properly without these numerous and constant updates?Anyway, I am dealing with MS's arch enemies the Swedish four who are living under the threat of a year's jail and a fine of millions. FFS, peer to peer is between members and TPB is not responsible for what clients download from other members. Set them free I say!
